Okay, time for a pet peeve here. Technically, I am not supposed to answer my cell phone at school. However, it’s the emergency number that is on my kid’s paperwork, and since voice mail doesn’t pick up on my classroom phone, oftentimes people prefer to call my mobile. So nothing is more irritating than to have my class interrupted by a telemarketer or similar meaningless call. It’s even worse if the person is rude!

Next time this happens, I’m going to get a bit of revenge. I’m going to go to a site where you can Report Phone Numbers and enter the number and the (non)reason for the call. Frequent offenders have their numbers posted. Hopefully, this will have an effect on the number of bogus calls we receive!
